| Is a one granny Band, making music with a keyboard that has drums, bass, accompaniment, harmonies and everything, a guitar, and a singin’ to go along with it all. I’ve been involved with entertaining folks with music since the 60’s. (However, I didn’t take the “gig name” of Granny Z until 1993, when I did indeed become a Grandma! I played in dance bands, sang in vocal groups, and entertained with just me and my guitar. At the insistance of my Grandchildren, I have taken a new "gig" name of WiMZi-G. They said why would any one want to come dance to somebody called Granny???? Does the name WiMZi-G make you want to dance??? Through the 70’s and early 80’s music was something I enjoyed with family and friends, while I was raising my 2 children. Then in the late 80’s, I got back into entertaining folks with a 4 piece band, called SILVER CREEK. When we discovered there was another band with the same name, we changed our name to CRYSTAL CREEK. Then in 1990, when half the band moved to a different state, the band “disbanded”. When I was working on getting going as a “solo gig” as Granny Z, I joined up with another single act - “Captain J”. We called ourselves BOONDOC COUNTRY. We began our “duo” in 1994. During this time, I also entertained in Long Term and Assisted living facilities and other such freebies, when I could fit them in. For a couple of years, I also paired up with another single act. We went by DEUCES WILD. As of October 2007, I made the decision to go “solo”. I play a keyboard that provides accompaniments and sounds like a whole band. It can also add harmonies to my vocals! When I’m not playing the keyboard, I play my guitar along with my own (or other) “midi” files. It’s just amazing how much sound one person can make nowadays! I play all sorts of music, from old country to new, classic rock, Big Band, polka, waltzes and much, much more! Have a listen if you dare! Go to song clips here.
